The owner or tenant in possession of lands abutting or bordering upon the sidewalks and gutters of the streets within the borough limits shall remove or cause to be removed all ice and snow from all such sidewalks within eighteen (18) hours after such snow or ice shall have fallen or accumulated. b. Every owner of real property on which there has been constructed a multiple dwelling of three (3) or more residential units shall remove or cause the removal of all snow and ice from all streets, lanes, alleys, driveways, roadways, parking areas, sidewalks, walkways, steps, and stairs located on such property that are open to the public, to which the public is invited, or which are designated for common use by the occupants or tenants within eighteen (18) hours after such snow or ice shall have fallen or accumulated. c. Every owner or tenant of real property, improved or unimproved, used, or zoned for commercial, business, religious, professional, or office use shall remove or cause to be removed all snow and ice from all streets, lanes, alleys, driveways, roadways, parking areas, sidewalks, walkways, steps and stairs located on said property that are open to the public, or to which the public is invited, within eighteen (18) hours after such snow or ice shall fall or have accumulated. d. If snow or ice may be frozen or impacted as to make removal impractical in the judgment of the sub-code official, borough superintendent of public works, or members of the regular Bogota Police Department, the owner shall forthwith cause said snow and ice to be covered with clean sand, ashes, sawdust, rock salt, or similar material, thoroughly covering all sidewalks, walkways, steps, and stairs located on said property as hereinabove set forth, within six (6) hours of daylight after the accumulation of such snow or ice. e. No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any snow or ice upon any public sidewalk, street, or publicly owned parking facility in any manner that may obstruct or impede vehicular or pedestrian traffic. f. No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any snow or ice that has accumulated on any sidewalk or within the boundaries of private property upon any public sidewalk, street, or publicly owned parking facility. g. The owner of any real property abutting any fire hydrant shall clear such fire hydrant of snow, within twenty-four (24) hours of snow coverage. Failure to clear such fire hydrant shall be a violation pursuant to subsection 3-5.3 below with a fine in an amount not to exceed seventy-five ($75.00) dollars. The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased to fall and until the streets have been plowed sufficiently so that parking will not interfere with snow removal activities and with the normal flow of traffic.

It was established after a series of public meetings in South Bergen County to address noise generated by jet aircraft departing and arriving into Teterboro Airport, especially at night. The main purpose of the committee is to establish a meaningful dialogue between the airport community and the residential communities. The primary goal was to enhance the quality of life of the residents of the local communities while ensuring the efficient operation of the airport. TANAAC is Comprised of: Local Elected Officials (within a five-mile radius of the airport) Mayors (or a duly appointed alternate), State Assembly and Senate Members, Members of Congress. Bergen County Executive and Board of Commissioners Chairperson. Members of the Aviation Community. Airport Manager. FAA Tower Manager. Fixed Base Operations and Heave of Corporate Flight Departments. One vote per member. The Airport Manager only votes in the case of a tie. Olsen Park West Main Street Extension Originally known as Riverside Park, this park was established in the early 1950s under the guidance of Councilman Oscar E. Olsen, who also served as Mayor of Bogota from January 1956 through April 1956. The park was dedicated to his memory soon after. Sgt Frank Pagano Park Queen Anne Road at Beechwood and Elmwood Avenues Sergeant Frank Pagano grew up in Bogota and was veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy house to house in Seoul, South Korea and died of those wounds on September 26, 1950. The Planning and Zoning Board also reviews all proposed subdivision of land for compliance with Chapter XXXV, Section VII of the Land Development Regulations, which contains all standards for development of new streets, sewers and utilities. The Planning and Zoning Board is charged under the Land Development Regulations with the responsibility to review all site plans, parking projects, and major building projects for proper design and drainage according to standards. The Planning and Zoning Board, through the Master Plan and Land Development Regulations, sets the pattern for development of the community. It has addtional powers under the Land Use Law. It conducts hearings and may grant certain non-use type variances. Class II and IV members of the Planning Board are appointed by the Mayor. The Class III member is appointed by the Borough Council. Two of the most important aspects of this statute were that Animal Control Officers were required to be State certified, and that all New Jersey municipalities were now required to appoint an Animal Control Officer. There are over 1500 Animal Control Officers who have been State certified. Duties for an Animal Control Officer (ACO) may include: Answer inquiries from the public concerning animal control operations. Capture and remove stray, uncontrolled, or abused animals from undesirable conditions, using nets, nooses, or tranquilizer darts as necessary. Clean facilities and equipment such as dog pens and animal control trucks. Contact animal owners to inform them that their pets are at animal holding facilities. Educate the public about animal welfare, and animal control laws and regulations. Euthanize rabid, unclaimed, or severely injured animals. Examine animal licenses, and inspect establishments housing animals for compliance with laws. Examine animals for injuries or malnutrition, and arrange for any necessary medical treatment. Investigate reports of animal attacks or animal cruelty, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and writing reports. Issue warnings or citations in connection with animal-related offenses, or contact police to report violations and request arrests. Organize the adoption of unclaimed animals. Prepare for prosecutions related to animal treatment, and give evidence in court. Remove captured animals from animal-control service vehicles and place animals in shelter cages or other enclosures. Supply animals with food, water, and personal care. Train police officers in dog handling and training techniques for tracking, crowd control, and narcotics and bomb detection. Write reports of activities, and maintain files of impoundments and dispositions of animals.
